Do you wish that instead of having to remember to add each net-new lead or existing Contact into a Campaign manually, it could automatically be done when they book a meeting? You came to the right place!

# How to relate to a Campaign?

There are some ways you can relate a record to a Campaign:

  1. ChiliCal's CRM Actions
  2. Concierge Router
  3. Handoff Router
  4. Chat Journey
  5. Pass it over through a Smart Booking Link
  6. Have another system do it based on a custom field type

## Settings in ChiliCal's CRM Actions

In the CRM Actions, we can make updates in two sections:

  1. ### Events

Within the **Events** tab, you can set the associated Campaign in the**Related Object** column. Once **Campaign** is selected, another dropdown will appear with all of your campaigns, which can be searchable:

  2. ### Leads and Contacts

We also have the **Leads & Contacts** section in the CRM Actions page, where we can set to which Campaign a Lead or Contact record should be associated.

In the **Add to Campaign** column, enable the Scheduling Links you would like to see an association. After that, you can select which **Campaign** will be used, and which **Status** will be filled out for the prospect.

## Concierge Router

This also can be done in Concierge, where you can add the Lead or Contact routed through the Concierge Router to a Campaign in Salesforce by setting up the **Add to Campaign** node. It can be added on any path.

In the example below, we associated our node with the "Chili's Special Campaign", and set the Campaign Member Status to be updated to "Booked"

## Handoff Router

Similar to Concierge, you can also set an **Add to Campaign** node in your Handoff Router to associate Leads and Contacts to a Campaign. Note this node can also be added only after a **Display Calendar** node.

In the example below, we associated our node with the "Chili's Special Campaign", and set the Campaign Member Status to be updated to "Clicked"

## Chat Journey

The **Add to Campaign** node is also available in Chat if you would like to associate Leads and Contacts there! This node also requires the visitor's Email to be collected and adding and an **Update or Create Salesforce Record** Node first.

In the example below, we are setting the node to associate prospects to the "Dreamforce 2019" Campaign and update their Campaign Member Status to "Responded":

## Pass it over through a Smart Booking Link

To make a smooth transition to get meetings from a campaign, you can send prospects a direct booking link if you already know their information.

If we already have these people in the CRM, we already know their First Name and Last Name, so we can pass the **id** parameter on the Router Link and give them the best user experience possible with a one-click booking

With the “id” parameter, you can either pass an Email Address or a CRM ID, and our system will automatically identify the Lead / Contact and route accordingly. For example: [https://calendar.na.chilipiper.com/router/demo-internal-use-test-pages-scheduling?id={{email_address}}](https://calendar.na.chilipiper.com/router/demo-internal-use-test-pages-scheduling?id={{email_address}}&campaignId=7014x000001CLpr&status=Responded)

You can append the campaignId as well as the Status of the campaign you want that contact to be in: [https://calendar.na.chilipiper.com/router/demo-internal-use-test-pages-scheduling?id={{email_address}}&campaignId=7014x000001CLpr&status=Responded](https://calendar.na.chilipiper.com/router/demo-internal-use-test-pages-scheduling?id={{email_address}}&campaignId=7014x000001CLpr&status=Responded)

## Have another System do it based on the Meeting Type

* * *

You could build it with a system like Marketo or HubSpot. They can sync your Salesforce fields on Lead/Contact to HubSpot/Marketo; thus, any updates will also get synced.

How would that work?

These tools can create "[Smart Campaigns](https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/marketo/using/product-docs/core-marketo-concepts/smart-campaigns/salesforce-flow-actions/add-to-sfdc-campaign.html?lang=en#:~:text=Find%20and%20select%20the%20Salesforce,to%20add%20your%20leads%20to.&text=If%20you%20can't%20see,a%20Marketing%20User%20in%20Salesforce)" (Marketo) and "[Workflows](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Lists-Lead-Scoring-Workflows/Workflow-to-update-Salesforce-Campaign-Status-Based-on-Marketing/m-p/372665)" (HubSpot):

  * **Trigger** : When the Meeting Type Field gets updated to "Your_Meeting_Type";
    * _This is just an example._
  * **Action:** Add Record to a Salesforce Campaign and set a member status;
