# Relate to a Case Via the Scheduler

  1. Open the Chili Piper Scheduler. This can be done in the Chrome Extension, Command+M, your CRM, or Sales Automation tool
  2. Ensure you are using a Link type or scheduling link that has Case as the related object (this may be by default)
  3. Select which Case you would like to relate a Meeting to within the Scheduler

**Note:** By default, the most recently created Case associated with the "Main Guest" will populate. To view and select all open Cases for a related Account, click the Case Dropdown and select the Case for which you are booking a meeting.

**Pro Tip:** For fast booking, if you need to personalize your Meeting Invitations, add the details for your meeting in the Case Description in Salesforce before opening Chili Piper to book the meeting.

Once you have successfully booked the meeting, the Event will be written to Open Activities within the Related Case you have selected.

# Relate to a Case via Link

In this use case, you can send a customer a personalized Scheduling link for your specific Case so that when the client books a meeting, the meeting is related to the Case.

To match properly to an existing Contact, you must also provide the prospect's email or Salesforce ID with the ?id= parameter.

**Note:** This URL can be generated automatically via Salesforce as well.

To do this:

  * Append the case ID as a parameter in your booking link.
  * We will use the parameter 'caseId'
    * [See all available parameters for Smart Links. ](https://help.chilipiper.com/hc/en-us/articles/32118298275603-Demand-Conversion-Platform-Smart-Booking-Links)

Example: `https://mycompany.chilipiper.com/book/me/my-name?id=someaccount@domain.com&caseId=5000W00001DS2Pm`

**Step 1:** Locate the Case ID

The CaseID can be found via the Salesforce Case URL.

**Step 2:** Locate the prospect's email OR their Salesforce record ID

**Step 3:** Locate the Chili Piper booking link for the meeting. Unreal example below.

    https://mycompany.chilipiper.com/book/me/my-name

**Step 4:** Add both the 'id=' and the 'caseid=' parameters to your URL and append the Case ID to the end of the URL. Include the **&** between the two parameters.

In this case, we are adding ?id=**someaccount@domain.com** &caseId=**5000W00001Dx07y**

    https://mycompany.chilipiper.com/book/me/my-name?id=someaccount@domain.com&caseId=5000W00001Dx07y

**Step 5:** Send off to your client!

**Notes for booking via Booking Link:**

  * Make sure to use a Meeting Type that has Case Support Enabled.
  * Remember to add the client's email address using the 'id=email@domain.com' parameter for 1-click booking.
