In this article, we'll guide you on how to test your SMS reminders, ensuring that they look and work as expected before rolling them out in your meetings and, consequently, to your prospects.
Prerequisites:
- Your Twilio account is connected
- You have at least one SMS reminder active
- You installed Chili Piper's browser extension
To Start Testing:
1. Create a dummy lead/contact in Salesforce, and ensure it has a phone number you have access to.

The app checks the Mobile Phone Number field to send the reminder by default, and the Phone field as a backup if the Mobile one is empty.

2. Book a test meeting
Now, we'll book a meeting with the Lead/Contact created in the first step.
If you would like to speed things up, you can do it on the same page in your CRM, by clicking on the book a meeting button in Salesforce:

Despite the CRM-related option above you used, they will open Instant Booker, where you'll be able to select the workspace, assignee, and slot to book this test meeting with:
If you opt to book a meeting via any booking link, selecting the slot and filling out the form will do it.
3. Check that you received the reminder
Time to take a look if the reminder was received, what it looks like, and make any required adjustments if needed.
