With Chili Piper's Zoom integration, you can create a unique Zoom meeting ID every time a new meeting is booked. These meetings will show up in your Zoom dashboard.
Should a meeting be canceled, rescheduled, or reassigned, Chili Piper will update the Zoom meeting directly to match the new assignee/booker (if there is one) to keep your meetings in order.
This integration is done on the individual user level once the admin in Zoom Marketplace approves. Each of your Chili Piper users can connect their Zoom account to Chili Piper in their personal user settings.

Integrating Zoom with Chili Piper
1. Head over to your personal integrations under my settings
2. Click the connect button on the zoom app
3. You will be prompted to log into zoom
4. Once you have logged in, you will be redirected back to Chili Piper, and it will say connected! :)
Note: If you receive an error message indicating "Invalid Scope" when you log in to Zoom, ensure that you are first logged out of Zoom.us before connecting to Zoom. If logging out doesn't do the trick, you may need to use an incognito browsing window.
Updating Meeting Types and Reminders
Now that you've successfully connected your Zoom account, you can update your Team's Meeting Types and Reminders with the {!CP.Assignee.Zoom} dynamic fields.
Tips:
- You should only use 1 of the four merge fields below within your Meeting Types / Reminders.
- For example, you would not use both {!CP.Assignee.Zoom} & {!CP.Booker.Zoom} within the same Meeting Template as this would create two unique Zoom meetings and likely confuse your Prospect/Customer as to which one to join.
- For example, you would not use both {!CP.Assignee.Zoom} & {!CP.Booker.Zoom} within the same Meeting Template as this would create two unique Zoom meetings and likely confuse your Prospect/Customer as to which one to join.
- We recommend placing the dynamic tag within the "Description" of the Meeting Type (not the "Location"), as this can be easily missed. At the very least, add it to both locations.
Dynamic Tags
Note: These dynamic tags are subject to change but should remain backward compatible. Tags used in Reminders should exactly match their Meeting Type counterparts.

For Meeting Types:
When meetings are booked, the field will automatically populate in the description with a Unique Zoom Link.
For Reminders:
When reminders are sent out, the field will automatically populate in the body of the email with a Unique Zoom meeting link.
Important: When leveraging these in your meeting types and reminders, you must use the same dynamic tag in both.
Dynamic Tags Not Populating!
If you send our a meeting invite and the Zoom link is missing, it is likely due to the connection between your account and Zoom.
Review the first section to ensure you are connected. If you are already connected, try disconnecting and re-connecting to Zoom again.
To Disconnect

Meeting passcodes
When Chili Piper creates a dynamic Zoom link for your Meeting Type, a meeting passcode is automatically generated and included in the invite if you've enabled this in Zoom, either under Account settings (global) or in your individual settings. This is optional.
To enable this on the user level, make sure you allow the following two options in your Zoom profile security settings:
Minimum passcode requirements for admins
Zoom admins will have more flexibility in setting minimum password complexity requirements. When Chili Piper generates a passcode for a dynamic Zoom link, we use Zoom's default minimum requirements.
- Must be at least 8 characters
- No minimum character limit set (see note below)
- Have at least one letter (a, b, c...)
- Have at least 1 number (1, 2, 3...)
- Include both uppercase and lower case letters
- Cannot contain consecutive characters (i.e., "123456" or "abcdef")
- Cannot be numbers only
As a result, we will generate a link and passcode that looks something like this:
https://zoom.us/j/5012718516?pwd=ekZ4WVJGK2JQak9Pdz09 password = 9rQaCqwi
Important!
If you increase or decrease the level of security requirements in your Zoom organization, the password Chili Piper generates may not meet these new requirements, and as a result, this can fail to create a conference link.
Please ensure that the minimum requirements you have set would accommodate a passcode like the one in the example above.
Minimum Password Length
Chili Piper must dynamically generate a meeting passcode. The default in Zoom is 8 characters long, and so we generate an 8 character passcode to accommodate the most customer's set limit.
As a result, we cannot accommodate minimum password lengths greater than 8 characters or the Zoom link will fail to be created.
