When users open the Chili Piper extension and see this error message "This user did not share their details with you" or "You can't book meetings in this calendar..."
Additionally, the booking link or routing might show "No available time slots"
No available time slots, when there should be slots available, is generally a sign that something is wrong with the Default Booker's calendar. There are two primary reasons this occurs.
1. The user's calendar connection has been lost in Chili Piper.
How do you fix this?
You can ensure that you are properly connected to your Calendar by simply logging in to Chili Piper using your Calendar connection. Click here to login.
Be sure to select your calendar option (and not CRM) to login in this case:
2. The user or organization has not made their calendar sharing settings available to you.
How do you fix this?
- Office 365 lets you make calendars available to “external users,” those who need to see free/busy time but don’t have user accounts for your Office 365 environment. To enable calendar sharing for Office 365 please follow these instructions here.
- Google enables the same functionality to make your calendar available to external users. To enable calendar sharing for Google Calendar please follow these instructions here.
You will want to ensure that, at the very least, users within the same organization can view your calendar. If you have connected to a calendar in a different organization (such as a personal calendar or one with a different email domain), you may need the users to set their shared permissions to "public".
Note that setting your calendar visibility to public carries its own set of risks. Limiting this to your organization only is recommended.
