A distribution team is a group of users to whom Chili Piper will assign prospects based on your configured settings. Consider these like "assignees" who will take ownership in Salesforce.
Let's explore distribution teams!
Who should you put in a team?
Groups of users that are part of a similar team within your company - for example, Northeast SDR team Enterprise AE team - all of these users should be put into a team together.
You can add, remove, and manage those team members in this section.
What is weighting?
Weighting is a feature that allows you to allocate different percentages to the members of a team to alter the distribution.
How weights work
To allocate a greater distribution of assignments to specific reps, make their weight percentage more than 100% while maintaining the reps who should be receiving fewer assignments at 100%
For example: if for the month Mary, Joe, and Stacy have the following respective weights: 200%, 100%, 100% for the month, and 60 completed meetings were booked for them - for the month - in total, the distribution would be as follows: 30, 15, 15. Mary is receiving 2x the meetings allocated to Joe and Stacy.
Calibration
If a rep is on vacation (has an all-day busy blocking event on their calendar), we will not consider them for distribution for that day. This feature is enabled by default.
There is a hidden calibration within each Team within Disto. This "current level" is not displayed in our UI, as each rep should be evenly distributed in order. This calibration is not impacted when doing ownership matching.
This distribution calibration resets on the first of each month.
If a Team appears in more than one CRM router, we will consider the calibration on the Team-level. For example, if a rep appears in two routers, and multiple leads are distributed to both routers, rather than assigning them both to the same rep, we will continue to distribute in order of the Team.
