From time to time, you may run into an API error or other permission issue where Chili Piper cannot create the initial event. The most common of these is if we are waiting for the prospect to be created in your CRM first.
While waiting, Chili Piper will automatically retry incrementally up to 24 hours later to write the event in the CRM.
Perhaps the error took longer than that to resolve, or maybe it's been fixed, but it's stuck waiting for the next retry interval, and you want to add the event right away. This Event can be written to Salesforce manually via our meetings dashboard.
Note: This feature is accessible from both the Personal Dashboard and the Dashboard within the Workspace via the navigation menu:
Step 1 - Find the Related Event
We have a search feature that can accept meeting titles, prospects' emails, names, etc., to make it easier to find. Once found, click "open" on the event.
Step 2 - Check the Event History
Here's an example of an Event that was successfully created - nothing more needed to be done here!
Here's an example of an event that failed to create:
Step 3 - Click on the Event message for more info
Clicking on the event message (denoted by a red exclamation point) will allow you to view why this failed. Refer to our Common SFDC API errors document for further assistance. In this example, the reason is not due to API but due to the prospect not existing in Salesforce (we are likely waiting on your marketing form to create this).
Similar messages may be presented for HubSpot API errors received as well.
Step 4 - Click "Try Again Now"
Once the issue is resolved, to attempt to replay the event, click "Try Again Now".
If this is unsuccessful, we will briefly present a message letting you know it failed again, and we will restart the retry intervals.
