Preventing "same day meetings" to be scheduled
Hey, Chili users!
We've heard that not having meetings scheduled on the same day is a very common behavior for you, as typically, you would like to have some time to be prepared before those meetings, for example.
The good news is that we can control this over Chili Piper! 🎉
Within our meeting type settings, we have a feature called Minimum scheduling notice that specifies the minimum time advance a prospect can book. For example, with a minimum scheduling notice of 2 days, a prospect can only book a meeting today for 2 days in advance.
To access this feature, you can:
1 - Navigate to the "Meeting Types" option in the left-side menu and click on the meeting type you would like to edit
2 - Navigate to the "Schedule" tab:
3 - Update the setting accordingly
At this point, you probably have noticed that 1-day or 24-hour is not an option at this moment.Â
In this case, we recommend using 12 or 15 hours as, typically, users' working hours are from 8 to 10 hours, so these two options should be enough to avoid same-day bookings.Â
Last but not least, let us know how you've been handling this for your Chili Piper instance and, of course, if you have any questions about it!
See you!

Jorge Ferreira Filho Why not provide "x working hours"?
We don't have an issue with same day bookings. The biggest issue is with early morning bookings. If a rep. leaves at 5 pm and we have set 15h until the next meeting can be booked, that is still 8 in the morning. If they don't check their emails late at night, they might miss that meeting or come unprepared.

Hey, Alex von Stegmann
That's an amazing idea, thanks a lot for bringing this to the Community and our awareness.
Currently, there's no differentiation between working or non-working hours, but this is something I will bring to our Product Team awareness. We have some exciting features and new products being launched this year, and maybe this is something we can accommodate in future roadmaps.
As mentioned above, I will personally bring your idea to our Product Team, but we also have a Feature Request page here if you would like to share it over there.Â
Thanks again for bringing this to the Community discussion, we really appreciate it!Â
