Error mapping country to Salesforce

Hi Jordan - Just to follow up here in case someone else see's your post in the future, the reason this is happening when we try to create a Lead is that your Hubspot form is submitting the full Country Name values, such as "United States", but in your SFDC instance, you guys have converted your Country values to picklist values.

This means Salesforce is only going to accept the value `US` and will reject a value for Country as `United States'. Since the Hubspot form is sending us the value "United States", that is the value we try to send to Salesforce when creating a Lead, which fails.

You guys are sending the value for States in the abbreviated form, like NY, so SFDC will accept that value, but the validation rule on needing a Country first before State is triggering and showing in the Logs, which is accurate but slightly misleading when debugging given the primary issue is really about the Country values not being in abbreviated form.

You should expect to hear a follow up from our CSM team on the topic. We've tested this in your instance of Chili Piper and were able to prove and confirm that this is indeed the issue.

A few adjustments may be needed on the Hubspot form side of things, but now that the primary issue is identified, we should be able to help you finish the configuration and align appropriately to allow the systems to properly communicate with each other.

Great post content tho, let us know if you have any more questions like this one pop up in the future!

    Hey, Jordan!

Hope this message finds you well!

I will manually create a support ticket for you about this one, as I might need to collect some details to better understand what's happening.

We've seen this error before, and normally, it would be related to the Country value not being passed due to the form mapping or any other reason or due to what you mentioned.

I'll get in touch with you in a second so we can dig this one further!

Wish you a great day ahead!
