Who can use this feature?
You can now create a one-click booking experience directly from your Gong Engage Flows by using Chili Piper links with smart variables. This setup ensures every recipient gets a personalized booking link that automatically recognizes their email and tracks who booked the meeting.
Steps to set up your Booking Link
1. Save Chili Piper links into your custom variables
Go to your Gong My Settings page.
Save your Chili Piper scheduling links as custom variables.
-
Make sure you use the full link that includes the meeting type name at the end (e.g.,
/15exploratory-call).If you only use your default link, Gong will overwrite the URL and break the smart tags.
You can copy the correct version of your link directly from the Chili Piper browser extension.
2. Go to a template or Gong Flow
Open a template or go directly into a Gong Flow where you want to use the link.
Insert your Chili Piper link variable by selecting:
Variable → Sender → Custom → [Select the Chili Piper link you saved]
3. Add recipient details
After the link, add
?id=Then insert:
Variable → Recipient → Recipient emailThis makes the booking link unique for each email recipient, providing a 1-click booking experience.
4. Add optional tracking tags
You can add more tags to track who booked the meeting. For example:
Add
&by=at the end of the link. Then insert:
Variable → Sender → Sender first name-Variable → Sender → Sender last name
This is useful if, for example, the AE’s Chili Piper link is used, but you want the SDR to get credit for the booking.
Example:
{{sender.primary_scheduling_link}}?id={{recipient.email}}&by={{sender.first_name}}-{{sender.last_name}}
5. Save your template
Once the link and variables are in place, save your template. We recommend sending a test to ensure that everything is working as expected!
