Who can use this feature?
Chat Widget Office Hours allow you to control when specific chat Journeys are available, based on your team’s working hours. This ensures that visitors always have the most effective experience, such as offering live chat during business hours and self-serve booking options after hours.
How to Enable Chat Office Hours
The first step is to set up your office hours in Bot settings. Then, you can enable office hours per journey in the trigger's detailed steps below.
Bot Settings
1. Navigate to Bot Settings > Office Hours.
2. Set the time zone for your bot. This will be the timezone the bot will be using for the Office hours you select.
3. Define your office hours - for example, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
4. The setting will save automatically.
Chat Journey
Once you have set your Office Hours in Bot Settings, you can decide which Journeys should be triggered during Office Hours or Outside Office Hours.
1. Open the Journey you want to trigger based on Office Hours.
2. Go to Trigger > Widget Visibility.
3. Choose when this Journey should trigger. Once selected, the Journey you are on will only trigger based on your choice.
- Always
- During office hours only
- Outside office hours only
