Who can use this feature?
Chili Piper's Billing Portal was designed to make admins' lives easier on billing-related tasks, such as managing your company's payment methods. You have more flexibility to control your payment options.
We'll learn a bit more about what can be done below:
Table of Contents
Accessing the Billing Center
Before covering these articles matters, you will need to access the Billing Center on the right-hand side menu of your Admin Center:
Legacy view Fire view
Then, select the "Payment Method" tab:
Add Payment Method
Credit Card
Fill out all of your Credit Card info and click Save. You can add up to 10 different credit cards and have only one Default credit card.
Bank Account
US Billing Details only
Currently, this option is available only for US-based billing details and banks.
Fill out all of your Bank Account info and click Save.
After saving the Bank Account details, you'll notice that it will have an Unverified tag right next to it.
Click the Verify Bank Account button to proceed with the verification. You'll receive two microdeposits, based on amounts of your choice, in the account that must be verified.
After the verification, this method will be active for your billing.
Pay by invoice
For annual subscriptions over $15K, we can issue an invoice payable by bank transfer or check. Monthly subscriptions must be paid by credit card.
Once this option is selected, we'll display a summary of all products available for your account, their license pricing, usage, and annual cost.
After clicking Next, you can confirm by clicking the Pay by invoice button. Invoices will be sent to your Primary Billing Contact (click here to assign this role to a user).
You can switch back to paying your subscription by Credit Card by setting any available Card as Default. We'll talk a bit more about it below.
Changing or Setting a Default Credit Card
It's as easy as hitting the Set as Default button:
If you're currently paying by invoice, as mentioned in the previous section, all cards will be available to be used as Default unless you have any Expired ones.
If you select any Credit Card as Default, you'll no longer pay by invoice if this option was selected before.
Delete a Payment Method
Beware that you can't recover deleted payment methods, so we recommend double-checking when removing one.
To do that, you have to click on the trash icon next to the payment method you wish to delete:
You will get a confirmation window, where you'll be able to click Remove to complete the process or cancel it.
