This article will cover how Chat and Handoff can be used in your daily routine!
Accessing Handoff from your Chat Inbox
The Handoff icon will be available for Chat conversations assigned to your user in your Chat Inbox. If you want to use it or even reply to a conversation that is not assigned to you, you will need to either reassign it or ask someone to reassign it to your user.
While accessing a Chat conversation, you will find the Handoff icon in the reply window menu bar:
After clicking the icon for the first time, you will see an option to switch the calendar view from yours to Handoff.
You can use your Handoff Router(s) to ensure prospects get their meetings booked with the right sales rep according to your organization’s rules, which your Admin has set up for you.
Select the workspace (1) and Handoff Router (2) you want to use, choose the best assignee to receive the meeting (3), and then click the slots (4) you want to send to your prospect.
Once you have done this, click the "Insert Availability" (5) option to add these slots to your Chat conversation.
You can also use the "Insert Scheduling Link" option to send a one-time link, allowing your prospect to book a meeting from there.

Switching Views - Handoff or My Calendar
Reinforcing that the Handoff Scheduler will recall the last scheduling state used in your Chat Inbox, so if you last used Handoff, we will default to the Handoff view the next time you attempt to schedule.
If you do not want to use Handoff for a specific meeting and prospect, you can use the "Switch to My Calendar" option in the Scheduler's top-left:
You can do it the other way around by selecting "Switch" right next to the "Use Handoff Router to assign" phrasing in the Scheduler's top-right
License Requirement
Users scheduling through Live Chat need a Chat license to use it (and therefore schedule), and any users receiving meetings through Chat via Handoff need a Handoff license.
