Who can use this feature?
Chili Piper credits are the currency used to run AI features and enrichment services. Features like Spam Checker, Meeting Prep, and Concierge Enrichment deduct credits from your account balance when they run.
Note: Credits are available on all Chili Piper plans with AI or enrichment features. All users can view credit information, but only Account Admins can purchase top-up credits or manage billing.

Your credit balance
Your account has a credit balance made up of up to two pools, consumed in this order:
- Platform Included Credits: Credits allocated as part of your Chili Piper plan tier. These refresh each billing cycle.
- Purchased Top-Up Credits: Credits you buy in bundles from the Billing Center. These are consumed after your included credits and remain on your account as long as your contract is active.
Warning: Platform Included Credits refresh each billing cycle and do not roll over. Purchased Top-Up Credits are separate and remain on your account as long as your contract is active.
What uses credits
The following features can consume credits when they run:
| Feature | Credit type |
|---|---|
| Spam Checker | Fixed: same cost each run |
| Enrichment nodes | Fixed: same cost each run |
| Meeting Prep | Variable: cost depends on execution |
| Email Agent | Variable: cost depends on execution |
Note: Fixed-rate features deduct the same number of credits every time they run. Variable-rate features deduct credits based on the work performed during the run.
How credits are calculated
For variable-rate features like Meeting Prep and Email Agent, the credit cost is estimated upfront and reconciled after the run completes. You will never be charged more than the actual cost of the execution.
If an execution fails, no credits are deducted. Credits are only consumed on successful executions.
Tip: If you’re troubleshooting unexpected credit usage, check the usage history (by feature and time period) in the admin panel to confirm which steps ran successfully.
Running out of credits
When your balance reaches zero, Chili Piper does not hard-stop your flows immediately:
- Any execution already in progress will finish.
- New executions are evaluated against your balance. If credits are insufficient, the individual AI or enrichment step is skipped and the rest of your flow continues normally.
- Overages are tracked but not billed. If your balance goes below zero, usage is tracked but you are not charged for it.
Note: You will receive notifications well before reaching zero so you can top up proactively. For details on how individual features behave when credits run out, refer to the product-specific documentation for each feature.
