Here's what's new in Web Experiences, including Chat, from April through September 2026: more languages, smarter data collection, bookings with more than one rep, spam protection, new integrations, and more flexible flows.
๐ฃ Introducing Web Experiences
In April, we launched Web Experiences: ways to engage, qualify, and book website visitors, built in one flow builder and sharing the same Rules, Distributions, and data fields as the rest of Chili Piper.
Experience types:
- Chat: conversational journeys, with or without Chat AI, that qualify visitors and book meetings in the conversation
- Scheduling: an embedded booking flow that collects a few details and takes visitors straight to a calendar
- Offer: a modal that presents an offer, such as a demo or resource, at the right moment
- Announcement: a bar or card across the top of your site that points visitors to what's new
Availability: Web Experiences are included in Tier 2 on our tiered pricing.
Creating a Web Experience Flow
๐ Multi-Language Chat
Chat AI detects and talks with visitors in 31 languages. Greetings, node text, and conversations automatically adapt to the visitor's language, and one journey serves every language, so you don't need a journey per language.

๐ Enrichment in Chat
An 'Enrich' node runs mid-journey once the visitor shares their email. It can pull data from LeadIQ, Apollo, Lusha, ZoomInfo, or Clay, using the same setup, providers, and waterfalls as Concierge, and writes it into the visitor's data fields.
Why it matters: fewer questions for the visitor. Any later 'Send Data Field' node checks the enriched record and skips questions that are already answered. This applies to both Chat and Chat AI.

๐ Spam Checker in Chat
The same checks that filter spam form submissions in Concierge run inside your Chat Journeys, so bots and fake emails are caught mid-conversation, before they reach a rep's calendar.
How it works:
- Add the Spam Checker node after the visitor's email is collected
- The conversation branches: Not Spam continues to qualification and scheduling, and Spam follows whatever path you build, so spammers never learn they were caught
- Optionally, write the score to the Spam Score data field and map it to your CRM

๐ Marketo Integration
The Marketo integration for Chat is live for all customers:
- Marketo in Rules: use Lead and Company fields from Marketo as conditions in any rule
- Create or update leads, with an optional Add to List action
- Update lead fields in Marketo directly from the journey
- Log activity: create "New Chili Piper Chat" and "New Chili Piper Meeting" activities in Marketo
When you connect Marketo, a Mapping to Marketo option appears in the data field menu, with default fields mapped automatically.
Marketo and Salesforce on the same path: the Salesforce Update or Create Record node can retry matching to the lead or contact, waiting for the Marketo-to-Salesforce sync instead of creating a record, as Concierge does. A Routing Rule can also wait for earlier CRM updates to finish saving before it runs.

๐ Account Identification
Chat AI can detect and enrich firmographic information for anonymous website visitors through your existing 6sense or Bombora contract, with no separate data contract with us.
How to set it up: enable the provider under Admin Center, then Integrations, then Built-In. Review captured fields under Data Fields, then De-anonymized Company. In a Chat Journey, go to Trigger, then Show to a specific audience, and build rules with those fields. If you use both providers, set which one takes precedence for each field.

๐ Chat AI: Knowledge Base, Inbox, and Transcripts
- Knowledge Base imports: add a whole website at a scan depth you choose, or a sitemap that also picks up subdomains. Each import shows its status, and imported resources display in a tree by URL path
- Chat AI tab in the Inbox: see every conversation Chat AI was part of, whether or not it turned into a live chat, with the detected strategy, the full back-and-forth, and actions taken. It's also available to end users in the ChiliCal app
- Transcripts anywhere: the Create Task with Conversation Transcript node can sit anywhere in a journey, including after Chat AI-only conversations, so the full conversation lands in Salesforce as a task
๐ Smart Parameters in Chat
Pass values in the Chat URL (for example, ?personcountry=Wales, or a GCLID for campaign attribution), and they flow silently into your CRM through the Update/Create Record node. They don't pre-fill questions in the journey.
Web Experiences:
๐ Multi-Assignment and Double Ownership
The Display Calendar node takes a list of assignees, so double round robin and other multi-assignment patterns work in Chat Journeys and Scheduling Flows, the way they already do in Concierge, Handoff, and ChiliCal.
How it works: under Show Availability of, add Owner, Team, Team Member via Round Robin, or Individual for each assignee, and drag to set the order. Required groups narrow the times shown, and optional ones just join the invite.
What you can do:
- Put an AE and an SE on one booking with both calendars checked
- Route to the Account Owner and round-robin a specialist alongside them
- Add a manager or note-taker as optional, without narrowing availability
- Place two Ownership Routing Rules one after the other for double ownership routing, the same as Concierge
Every assignee shows in the meeting confirmation, Chat Logs, and the Inbox, not just the primary one.
๐ Use What You Already Know About a Visitor
Pass visitor data through the snippet: the Web Experiences snippet accepts a lead object and JS options, so a page that already knows who someone is can pass that to the widget. You can also set the language, the Salesforce Account, opportunity, campaign, or case, the meeting type, extra calendar event fields, and callbacks.
Skip questions you already have answers to: each field in a Send Data Field node has a Visibility setting:
- Default: skips when the value came from enrichment, a Smart Parameter, or the JS lead object
- Skip if known: skips when we have it from any source, including a previous visit or another flow
- Always ask: shows the field every time
Why it matters:
- In-app: embed Chat and pass the logged-in user, with no "what's your email?" step
- Attribution without URL parameters: read UTM or campaign data from the page and pass it in, and it reaches Salesforce
- Returning visitors: skip questions they already answered, and greet them by first name or company, since dynamic tags in guest-facing messages resolve from any source
Things to note: every key in the lead object must match a configured Smart Parameter or data field reference. If one key doesn't match, none of the values are used and there's no error message, so check each key before you deploy. The record options are Salesforce-only.

๐ More Flexible Flows
- Assign To and Update Ownership work in Announcements, Offers, and Scheduling Flows, so you can assign a record to a Distribution and update its owner wherever the visitor ends up
- Send a Message anywhere in a Scheduling Flow, to tell the visitor what's happening, ask for a few more details, or thank them after booking
- Ask questions after the booking: put qualifying questions before the calendar and nice-to-haves after it
- View Logs in one click from the journey builder, pre-filtered to that flow
- Dynamic tags in the Welcome Message node, the Chat AI Fixed Greeting, and the Send a Message node
Creating a Web Experience Flow
๐ Announcements Styled From Your Own CSS
An Announcement doesn't have to be a full-width bar. Restyle the widget frame from your site to make it a centered floating card or a notch against the top edge. Narrowing it also brings the button in next to the text. The same approach widens or narrows the Offer modal.
Limitations: fonts, colors inside the widget, and button placement can't be styled this way, and Scheduling Flows can't be resized this way.
๐ Smoother Scheduling and Offer Widgets
- Resume after reload (Scheduling): a visitor who refreshes after entering their email goes straight back to the calendar
- Browser autofill on form fields
- Inline email validation before anything is submitted
- Readable text on dark backgrounds in the email field
