You know what we’ve been thinking about a lot recently?
The B2B buying experience. And how so many sales processes don’t match the way buyers want to buy.
Question about pricing? Talk to sales.
Want to see the product? Talk to sales.
Want to try out the product? Sign a contract.
Frustrating B2B buying experiences are everywhere.
But here’s our actual, non-rhetorical question for you: are we, Chili Piper, part of the problem?
Have you had a frustrating B2B buying experience recently? Was it with us? 😬
Let me know! I’ll be keeping a close eye on my inbox 👀
Product Updates - For Distro Fire Users 🔥
Customers taking advantage of the new Fire Experience in Distro have some new and spicy updates to play around with:
🚀 Fire logs now match Legacy logs with additional improvements and data shared for SLA events, error messages, and data for mismatched cases.
🚀 Support relative dates in rules
This will support the ability to set Relative Dates in addition to Absolute dates in rules now, which include a menu to:
- Last week
- Last month
- Custom: Last/Next # Days/Weeks/Months/Quarters/Years
- Specific Date
🚀 Update multiple fields with the same Assignee within a Route - previously, a route would only support a single ownership field update. Now, Distro Fire supports multiple!
🚀 Distro Fire Logs - debug view is back with an improved view, aligning with the visual rule builder and making it easier to see which Route matched (unmatched routes will be collapsed by default)
And just like that, Trent blew our minds 💥
Last month, Trent Allen, RevOps @ Maxio showed customers how he optimized Chili Piper across the entire customer experience…and when we say the ENTIRE customer experience, we mean it.
Here's what you missed:
- How he onboarded Chili Piper across 9 different teams
- How to save time on revenue-generating activities
- Easily route to the appropriate AE immediately without BDR touch
- Playbooks to automate SFDC data and opp creation on call booking
- Ensure equitable distribution to AEs and more insight to pipeline distribution
- Integrate two separate sales motions under one roof (CRM/MAP)
If that doesn't inspire some FOMO, I don't know what will!

“What can SaaS companies do to improve the buyer’s experience”
We asked this question to 30 B2B SaaS professionals. And here’s what they said:
1. Do they make it easy to schedule a demo?
2. Do they show the product before engaging with sales?
3. Do they show pricing on the website?
We analyzed the 100 top SaaS companies around these 3 key themes.
And we were honestly shocked.
