January flew by so fast we almost missed the most important holiday here at Chili Piper. But, in a more positive light, we got lots of creative new uses for our hot sauce 😅

More personal + less prospect friction = More pipeline
That was our hypothesis behind creating personal pages for our outbound SDR team.
It all started with a Slack message from Joey Williams, our Director of Sales Development:
Our SDRs were booking meetings through their email signatures, which was great. Obviously, we loved seeing more leads come through thanks to our SDRs.
But the process caused friction for both the SDRs and their prospects, leading to wasted time and ghosted meetings.
When prospects booked a meeting via email signature, SDRs had to hunt them down for qualification (go back and forth over email, maybe give them a call) and then reassign them to an AE.
This seemed like an unnecessary series of steps considering we literally built the product that fixes that problem.
Joey suggested that instead, we route prospects to a booking page where they could answer qualification questions that directed them to the right AE, an idea that originally came from Tainah, one of our SDRs.
So how did it go?
TL;DR: This meant less work for our SDRs. More qualified leads. And more pipeline!
WHAT’S NEW AT CHILI PIPER
Our Distro product team is pushing out updates faster than we can keep up. Here’s what’s new this year so far:
🕺 New Trigger Type: Record is created OR updated
Previously you would need to create two routers with the same logic. Now you can use the newly created and updated trigger within one router!
Test your router is set up and working as you expect it to all within the router preview! Go to preview flow → enter an SFDC ID (works with 15 or 18 ID) → then click Preview and you can go into the routing rules to see which one matches.
🕺 Lead to contact conversion
You can now automatically convert a lead into a contact, account, or opportunity. Directly in Distro
