SPICY OPS
Speaking of events… Last year we wrote about how we booked 97 meetings at a single event.
This year, we decided to go into a bit more detail about how things work behind the scenes — for those of you who like to get in the weeds.
If we’re booking meetings to meet at the event (ChiliCal):
We review the event side and any sponsor lists
→ If they’re a customer, we prioritize based on ARR, the renewal date, and whether there are any open opportunities
→ If they’re a prospect, we prioritize based on potential opportunity size and stage of the sales cycle
Send an email to list of customers and prospects to include an event-specific meeting type so they can meet during the event (this is very important for tracking purposes)
For reps attending, they can set their availability schedule to only receive event-related meeting types.
If we’re booking meetings at the booth (Concierge):
Duplicate an existing Concierge router
Modify as needed
Get the embed code for use on your new landing page
Update your reminders so messaging is relevant for each event
Following up post-event (Distro):
First, set up an Entry Rule so that only leads from Events are triggered in this routing rule
Then, add in your routing rules — be it company size, industry, region, or however you route your leads
Add a “Create Task” node. Distro will create a Task in Salesforce for the rep to follow up within the next day.
Set your SLAs. For example, send a Slack notification to the rep if the Lead Status hasn’t changed within 5 working hours.
We shared details on how all this works in our new SpicyOps article!

CHILI PIPER PRODUCT UPDATES
A lot happened on our Fire platform in August 🥵
Check the full list of updates here.
But here are the highlights:
DISTRO 🕺
🚀 Merging Records
You can now merge identical objects (Lead to Lead or Contact to Contact) seamlessly. IF a record matches a Duplicate and is merged, it will be recorded in Logs.
🚀 Custom Matching
You can now route to an Account Team Member or an Opportunity Team Member! For example, if you want to route an incoming Lead to a Matched Account and then to an Account Team Member on that account — you can do it.
FORM CONCIERGE 🔥
🚀 Associate Records with a Campaign object
You can now Create Events and relate them to Campaign Objects in the “Create Event” node.
🚀 Round Robin Links in the Scheduler
When you schedule a meeting through the scheduler, reps can select a round-robin meeting type
CHILICAL ✨
🚀 Outlook Add-In
ChiliCal now supports the Outlook add-in!
CHAT 💬
🚀 Target by Device Type
Only show chat for certain devices (e.g. only on Desktop) for better targeting.
